For the third consecutive month in a row, Marco Island surpassed sales from the previous year. Overall, for the last three months (May, June, July), Marco Island reported a 38 percent increase in sales. The bargain hunters are out. Sales made with the help of a Realtor in Southwest Florida rose again in July. Existing single-family home sales — or resales — grew by 80 percent to 768, from 426 a year ago, in the Fort Myers/Cape Coral market.
