Oh Captain, My, My, My, you are just to darn smart, you have nailed me to a tee!!!!
Now, how about you other that your two degress and 6k hours of flight time. I'll just bet you are about 91 years old, sit in your cusy little Marco House, complain about everything, demand more than most, and know exaxtly how many traffic lights there are on N. Collier, which definately makes you a better driver that others. I'll also bet you have a spouse that tells you exactly what to do!!
Now, all I said is that this poor fellow may not have been in IFR conditions Captain Sir, it was you that started all this!!!!!!!!

Well!!! you sound like a tecnical know it all yourself, I have credentials but also a little common sense!!
If you read what I said, it was not necessarily in dis-agreeance with your very knowledgeable call, you need to be a little broader in your thinking.What are your credentials Captain, before you blame this on this pilot's error, read what I said???

Hey Maxpup??? Listen-up!!! The issue is not!! weather or not he experienced the dark hole , it is "was he flying in IFR conditions?? Could this have happened, yes, the copter pilot is wrong in announcing he was in IFR conditions unless they existed. Vfr training provides work in the conditions you refer to, and how important to stay away from that. Given the viual to the north of Marco, I wonder how he could have entered a black hole, but maybe?
Trouble is, every pilot, like yourself, is an expert until you get in trouble!!!

Why--Mr. S.O. Helicopter pilot??? Visability or ceiling, why?? if your going to just throw that out there?? If he was traveling westbound into a closet, he still had reference to the north and partially to the south!!
