ed...we finally agree....we could do with less police...especially the motorcycle...we have provided feedback as citizens and it falls on deaf ears it seems...
the extra police need to help liz carr enforce the code restricitons....drive down lamplighter...1st house...code violation...10th house code violation, 12 house code violation.....4 houses that are in foreclosure...yards not being cut....
landmark waterway has at least 5 boats in violation of dock limits....no wake zone not observed in landmark....mullet fishermen ignoring all laws....let's get capt carr do do his wife a favor and have his excess officers enforce the laws...and by the way, where were the councilmen when the county closed the caxambas ramp fuel docks during the busiest week of the year????
i think we want the same thing ed, we just have a different way of going about it...you expound and i charge headlong into the issue.

mr recker...if you find this appalling then do something about it...this is not the only appalling thing within the council and city staff. it is appalling that the staf would select quality enterprises for anything on this island after the fiascos we had witht them in the past.
you found mgr thompson appalling, the financial situation appalling and now this....i am appalled that you keep "finding" things appalling....then sitting on your hands or being re-directed by trotter and walduck. come on recker...do something postive besides writing letters to this editor.

so bill...you write a bunch of back patting crap and then stick your head in the sand? what about:
1. the smell on elcam?
2. the bid process/fiasco for the strp at kendall?
3. the forensic audit of finance dept?
4. tract K bald eagle?
5. paving the lamplightr strp district?
6. fixing the paving of barfield strp district?
bill...there's alot of stuff that needs to be done....life is not perfect anywhere but we seem to create alot of our own problems on a 20 sq mile piece of real estate.
and there are still the comments from the "winning" election side about the strp....they need to move on....the anti people seem to have...except of course for mr foster and he will never move on. who cares what he says...no one!

thanks ej...and what about issler's reply to me....he's the head bozo along with monte. they seem to think everything is wonderful on the island...drive down elcam past the water plant...take a deep breath...that's poop you smell.
try to dump at the recycle plant...that's a real joke..no dump trailers...hand unload only....then across the street is a HUGE facility for God knows what. then the county closes caxambas fuel dock to install a new fuel pump...not replace the existing....but add another one....during the high season...did any of the councilors know about this or were they on christmas break? i could go on...but i think you get the picture...all is not well on the island...certainly not as well as ed and monte think it is.

ed...i only get emotional when you post a comment...my blood pressure goes through the roof with your apple pie attitude. the citizens did not get to vote on the "consulting" fee to design the park...nor have we been asked any "voters" opinion.

re. mr harrison...let's see....his department is "supposedly" going to undergo a forensic audit and he bails....i don't need facts....and ed...where did the money for the parking lot come from???? you seem to be in the complete know.

why are we using quality enterprises for anything? what is the parking lot going to be used for....to see the lighting of the Christmas tree? rony joel asks for $$$$ constantly....and the councilors keep giving it to him carte blanche.
ed...i really belileve you are a good guy, but please take off the rose colored glasses for a little while....we're not in great shape! and as for the "non-retirement" comment you made...the younger population you mention are the folks that try to move here to work to support the old farts that are retired....like you cause i ain't retired.

folks...wayne is a certified bozo...period...he can't walk and chew gum at the same time and does not know giddy-up from whoa.

let's see...bill harrison leaves 2 inches ahead of the hounds and he's on the "advisory" committee...so now we're paying severence for bad advice...the way to address the budget is to stop spending...the veterans park is ridiculous....plant some trees/bushes and a walk path...and by the way..who paid for the magnificent parking lot? now, ed and monte call me an idiot and a cave person etc etc...but you have to admit the spending on tis island is outta control....even ej will agree with that.

chuck...time always runs out on the entire slate of councilmen....you guys are all like a bunch babies that cry and get nothing done that truly is what the citizens want. you need to get off the strp...it's a done deal chuck...let it drop...pay attention to the serious problems we have and the strp ain't one of them. let monte, ed and all the rest win this one...the strp...now get on with the citizens business and quit pissing money away on hairbrained ideas that come to all of you in the middle of the night.
